My 30 Year High School Reunion By Jay Linford

Like bees to honey, a nerd, a jock, a greaser, a cheerleader, and a beauty queen flocked to the 30th reunion of the Granite high school class of ' 79. The myriad of lives That attended graduation in 1979 in Salt Lake City seem to be very different people in 2009. Case in point.

1979

Today

I have to admit this experience was nothing like I thought it would be. It’s hard to describe but I guess this reunion would be like your crazy family who you haven’t seen in many years -- you may just get a few surprises that you were not anticipating. We don’t get to choose who they are and may not always like everything about them, but they are your classmates. Like it or not, we all share an experience that has bonded us for the rest of our lives.
I think one great thing about coming to your 30-year reunion is thinking you have life figured out way better than you did in high school. Many of us often ponder what it would be like to go back in time and doing things differently with the knowledge, wisdom and experience of a 48-year-old, rather than a 17-year-old who has so much yet to learn. For many people, high school experiences are some of the best memories they possess; others say they’re the worst.
For me, when I think of those 3 years spent at Granite High School I have fond memories. It was during those years that I met the love of my life. I have to admit at this reunion I was not once asked the question “Are you and Allie still married?” This was a first for me. I guess after 30 years of marriage they finally realize that we are the exception to the rule.
All in all I would have to say that my 30 year high school reunion was very interesting, it gave me an opportunity to reunite with old friends that I would not have seen otherwise. My recommendation---Go to yours...

This Is For Real...

This is not a joke.... A business associate actually gave Jay these jeans---YES TO ACTUALLY WEAR!!! I kid you not. Here's the real kicker they are a $350.00 pair of Sunset Beach Jeans. I think Jay would rather die then wear the jeans. I do think that he looks pretty dang hot in them, and if anyone could ever get away with wearing them it would certainly be him. Fat chance of that. That's $350.00 well spent.... What do you think?

Jay is liking this just a little too much.

Nice Pose!!!!

Pretty good looking model

Get a load of those sequins and stitching. WOW!!

Happy Father's Day To The Greatest Dad & Poppy On The Planet!

Happy fathers day to Jay. If any man ever understood the term "commitment to the family" it would have to be Jay. He is the greatest father and grandfather anyone could ever ask for. His children and grandchildren know that they came first, forever and always in his life. Our 4 children have grown up to be wonderful, responsible, caring adults and amazing parents themselves. I have often wondered why they all turned out so well and I have come to the conclusion that it was and is the influence of an amazing and loving father. Jay always made time for his children when they were growing up and they all knew he was never to busy for them. He is the kind of Man and Father that we can all depend on no matter what. We love you very much.

Happy Mother's Day, To The Best Mom's In The World!!

Today I am grateful for these 4 beautiful women. My amazing beautiful daughter and 3 incredible darling daughter's-in-law. These 4 women posses all the qualities and attributes of greatness. They are the Mothers of the most incredible little people in my life, my 7 1/2 perfect grandchildren. They are all doing such a great job raising these children and I couldn't love them more. All of them have strong testimonies and are teaching their children correct principles in the Gospel. Each one of them understands the magnitude of the job they have embarked on as Mothers. I am also so grateful to Karen, Marilyn, and Sue for raising their Daughters to be upstanding righteous women, I can't really take too much credit for my own precious Daughter, she just came to us that way. As you can see I absolutely love these awesome girls. Happy mothers day girls, you are the greatest.
