BYU QB Max Hall issues apology following post-game rant

SALT LAKE CITY-- Quarterback Max Hall released a statement Sunday regarding heated comments he made after BYU's big win over rival Utah.

In the statement, Hall apologized for his remarks, saying he got caught up in "the heat of the moment."

Hall said the rivalry became personal at last year's game at Rice-Eccles Stadium when several Utah fans harassed his family members. He said the fans spit on them, dumped beer on them -- even physically assaulted them. Hall also said several fans made "vile" comments about his wife, his mother and his religion.

Hall said his family actually had to be escorted to their car by police after the game.

Hall said his comments were directed at those fans, and apologized for criticizing the University of Utah and its football team.

"It was not intended to be directed at the entire organization and all of their fans and I apologize that it came out that way," the statement reads. "I have the utmost respect for Kyle Whittingham, his coaching staff and the Utah football players. I apologize to them and other members of the university for my comments."

Hall also apologized to his team for taking away from their victory.

The controversy sparked during a post-game interview Saturday, when Hall blasted his rivals with some scathing comments.

"I don't like Utah. In fact, I hate them. I hate everything about them. I hate their program, their fans. I hate everything," Hall said. "It felt really good to send those guys home."

In his statement, Hall said he hoped BYU and Utah fans would "take steps to prevent future incidents at the game."

Migraine....Go Away, Don't Come Back Another Day!!!!!

"Massive Migraine"

so I am spending the day in bed, in pain of course but board out of my gourd never-the-less. So, Lot's of blogging today. Oddly enough Ashley has one today too. Weird all around!!! I sure wish someone would invent the miracle cure for migraines, anyone that thinks it's "just a headache" is seriously senile.

Just ask Jay He's such a good man, he sure does put up with a lot from me.

I swore I wouldn't jump into Christmas before Thanksgiving. Well I guess I live in a "Glass House" So please don't throw stones. The exterior lights went up two weeks ago , and ever since that I have been wanting to get it all up. It will add to the Thanksgiving festivities. I put one of my Christmas trees up on Monday. (Oh I can't believe I admitted that) I guess I'm just trying to hurry things up a bit (if only in my own mind) Let's get Christmas over Then January will drag by and then------- February and I can begin to look forward to SPRING!!!!!

It seems to me that each and every year that comes and goes, the Thanksgiving holiday has gotten lost. In our ever-changing society, lines blur between so many of the finer points. Thanksgiving gets short changed due to where it lies in the holiday season. Halloween has become a huge money-making holiday second only to Christmas. The "Holiday Season" has been making its debut more and more prematurely each year. Personally I think we are being robbed. This holiday is meant to remind us all to reflect upon what we have been blessed with and to also say "thank you". We don't need costumes, games or decorations, just families spending time together and reflecting on what they are truly thankful for. Unfortunately the Thanksgiving Holiday gets swept under the table, off the financial radar, and socially downplayed. I think the Thanksgiving holiday truly deserves more focus. It is a time to sit with loved ones and take time to reflect and be thankful. Thanksgiving deserves to be its own distinct entity, not some day of gluttony in between candy and presents. Take time to reflect and give thanks. Let this spirit of thankfulness be the way we prepare our hearts for the coming holiday season. You have a lot to be thankful for. "Why on earth would we want to overlook that"?

Happy Birthday Grandpapa Smith

There were nearly half a million Latter-Day Saints around the world (495,962), living in 75 stakes, 839 wards, and 22 missions at the end of the year 1918.

Following more than fifty-two years of service as a General Authority of the Church, seventeen of which he was the Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, President Joseph F. Smith finally joined his father, mother, and loved ones in what must have been a very blessed and joyful occasion.

I know you all know him as the 6th. Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but to me he is so much more. My Great Grandpapa Smith (my Fathers Grandpa.) Yesterday was the birthday of my Great Grandpapa Smith he was born 171 years ago. What a great man he was I am so grateful for his life.

Who remembers aunt Lillian? I think she became sweeter as she got older. She would always tell me That I looked just like her. Aunt Edith and Joseph Fielding Smith are also in this picture, They are siblings of my Grandpa.

A Beautiful Day at Sleepy Ridge...

Jay and I went golfing today it's been awhile since we went golfing with just the 2 of us. We had such a great time the course was pretty quiet so we just took our time and had a leisurely game of golf. I love this man..... He's the greatest and so much fun to spend time with, I'm so glad he belongs to me..

What a great view.. I'm talking about Jay's backside. The mountains aren't too bad either.

Oh you can't see it, that white ball is Jay's. I brought my putter onto the green but where's my ball Oh that's right it's in the hole. My very first BIRDIE, and it went into the hole from my chip shot......I'm so excited, and quite shocked too.
