The 8th. Wonder Of The World
Lake Powell The 8th. wonder of the world (or at least it should be) Once you travel by boat a few miles from any of the marinas you'll find yourself in another world with a skyline unmarred by signs of civilization. Lake Powell is considered by many to be the most beautiful lake in the world, with sandstone canyons and 96 major tributaries awaiting exploration. It is one of the places on this earth where a person can truly find peace, away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Days seem to run together and time stands still. On the lighter side of our trip. On Saturday we all headed down to the boat. It's quite a hike to the boat slip from the Wah Weap lodge, and it takes about 20 minutes to get there (with kids) When we got to the boat Jay realized that he had left the boat key back at the Lodge. By this time we were all hot, a little grumpy and ready to go, the temp was 109 and we were all a little upset with Jay for forgetting the key. Jay feeling the pressure, said he would run back to get the key (all up steep hills) When he reached the top of the dock he saw one of the golf carts that the workers use. The key was in it so he hopped in and drove to the room, grabbed the key got back in the cart and drove it back to the place it was parked. When he got back there he saw the little Indian worker looking very puzzled he was talking on the 2 way radio with another worker trying to figure out where he had left his cart. Jay drove up beside him hopped out of the cart, looked him in the eye and said thanks, and the worker responded with "your welcome." It really was pretty funny. I don't think I know anyone else with that kind of nerve, but it sure did make his trip back a lot quicker.

What a funny story! I can see Jay doing that, but then I can't. He really must have been desperate!
