A Forty Something Pops, A Little Girl That Loves Him, And a Spider Hand Puppet.

This is one of the things I just love about Jay

His dedication and devotion not only as a father but also as Poppy. I think he loves our children's kids as much as our own children. His words "Quantity of time"

Judging from the expression on our baby girl's face it's pretty easy to say that she's having a pretty great time

It's amazing to me that a grown man and a little girl can spend an entire evening playing with a little spider hand puppet.

The Big Match-up

Not too thrilled with last nights out-come. I guess this will have to do for this year, I'm guessing it will still be a pretty good game.

I was really hoping for this match-up though. Does anyone else wish Brett Favre could go out with one more Super Bowl? He's my all-time favorite.....

And how about that Austin Collie. Manning to Collie-----I LIKE!!

It was a great and beautiful day in Sunset Heights today. We woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow, when Jay went out to clear the sidewalks and driveway he noticed that someone had already done it...We have the greatest neighbors. Everyone was outside basking in the beauty of this beautiful morning talking and enjoying each others company.

Jay must have his seasons mixed up, we were all in our snow gear and he showed up in his sanooks and swim trunks. He thinks it's pretty funny.

Karen has the body clothing right but, her feet are bear. I just love these people..

















It's pay back time for Jay, after attacking little Brooke all morning with snowballs she finally chased him down for a dose of his own medicine.

It looks like the attire is finally getting to Jay, he looks a little cold..

Doesn't our street look beautiful after a big snowfall?

Now I know why jay was wearing the swim trunks, this must have been his plan all along.

The Daunting Task!

I love this one, of course Linsey did it. Now there's a girl that knows how to use a Cricut.

I was so excited to do this one simply because I love the paper, and ribbon but unfortunately it turned out to be one of the worst.

You can definitely tell when I was getting bored with the project because my work gets a little less interesting and much less embellished. I do love BROWN!!

It's amazing how much the Cricut can enhance the quality of the page. It does help to have great paper as well.

Scrapbook pages----What a great gift for the person who has everything..

Whenever I do these books I always have to make sure that I have the same number of pictures of each of the grandkids just to make it fair.

When I was done I went back and counted each picture and I was amazed that I had used an equal number of pictures of each child.. Pretty good I think!

When I started this project I made a commitment to myself that I would put together this book with out making any trips to Pebbles or Roberts. I DID IT!!! I know it's hard to believe but this is proof that it can be done..IF I CAN DO IT ANYONE CAN DO IT..

I was able to keep that committment but supplies really started to get scarce.

It seems that every time I do a scrapbook project I end up spending a ridiculous amount of money on embellishments etc. and then they never get used.

It drives Jay crazy that I can spend so much on scrap booking so I thought I would see if I could do it this time at no cost. I did!! I'm sure he would be so pleased..

I finally finished this vast scrapbook project. They are quite plain but they are done and many of my family pictures are safe inside the scrapbook..

Whenever I look at Brenda Birrells (owner of Pebbles in my Pocket) pages I realize just how plain mine are. She is one of the most amazing, fun, and talented people on the planet.

I'm not a huge fan of the cricut. Sometimes I like to put together my own lettering from creative keepsakes. I know that is the out-of-date way to do it but I love the sports lettering. However it is a lot of cutting.

So this is where all of you that read my blog are supposed to give your creative ideas and in-put.

This project started out as a gift for my Mother, It still is but I'm having a hard time parting with it. I don't know if she'll appreciate it as much as I do.

I'm quite proud of myself, I did this whole project without spending one PENNY!!! I would have liked to, but I didn't. However I am going to have to buy a new Cricut, it was one of the casualties of this project.

The "Thickers" aren't my favorite but I think they went well here.

It's amazing what you can do with a plain white 12x12 piece of paper.

A Slight Retraction!

I really need to make a Slight Retraction on yesterday's post. I guess I have learned never to judge a day by its first appearance because things can really change. When I woke up I immediately noticed the snow and an ominous day a head, not a good sign. I was planning on meeting a friend for lunch at 11:30 so in spite of the dismal day there was something to look forward to. I had been asked on a late notice to attend a meeting at 10:00 a.m. no problem it would surely be over in plenty of time to make it to my lunch date on time right-----Wrong. I glanced down at my watch and it was already 11:30 and I was still in Orem. Where the heck did the time go? Just another bad encounter to add to my already, shall we say dreadful morning. Well it all changed around 12:00 p.m. I made it to my lunch appointment at Dear Lizzie which is a bright and cheerful place, which cheered me up right away and then having lunch with such a bright and sunny person as my friend Holly completely turned my whole day around. After a very long and delightful lunch, Holly took me to a superb little jewelry shop that I had never been to before. It was magnificent. I can't wait to take my girls back. Thanks for a great day Holly.

Flashback Friday

This a blast from the past. Horrible picture I know but there really aren't that many pictures of us with just the 3 boys. So I posted it. Ashley joined our family 9 months after this picture was taken..

All I can say about this picture is "HAIR"

We went out to eat with the Ferrin's, and the Stanworth's one night and Paul paid the waitress $20.00 to put this pie in Jay's face. Everyone especially Paul thought it was so funny until Jay picked up a pie and threw it in Paul's face. It came at Paul with a mighty force hitting Paul and everyone else in the vicinity. I think Paul was digging pie out of his nose and eyes all night. I guess Paul didn't remember that Jay always gets even-----ALWAYS-- believe me I know all too well... Some people never grow up!!!!!

Just a Skiff, or Would That be a Trace.

Just when I was starting to see grass again, I wake up to this.

It's been so long since I have seen the soothing color of green (Referring to the "Green Grass" of course) It's got to be summer somewhere I need to go and find that place.....

Is this a "Skiff or a 'Trace"? I get the 2 mixed up. Needless to say it is not a "beautiful" day in the neighborhood today BLAH....

However it is a beautiful day inside the Linford home, because McCartney came to visit. I always look forward to her visits everyday She is certainly a bright light on a dark and gloomy day.

She is 41/2 months old-----Where does the time go?
